The answer is priceless! If you’re trying to break into the ultra-competitive world of modeling then having a professional portfolio of you at your best is so important. Pictures from your last holiday or of you getting ready to go on a night out simply won’t do it.
For a beginner to modeling, a portfolio should be around 12 – 24 photos. It’s all about quality not quantity and selecting the right photographer for you is important. Potential employers only have time to look at a few snapshots so make sure you show a variety of poses and facial expressions to sell yourself.
It’s also important to build up a good photographer – model relationship where you can inspire each other and get the best result each time.
As well as hard portfolios, modern digital technology means that portfolios can also be on CD/DVD and online as well.
Most important of all, show that you really want be a model. Make a lot of effort and impress them with your portfolio, get the best possible photographer.
